As the number of active shooter incidents continues to rise every year active shooter preparation and training is becoming an essential emergency response component for organizations of all shapes and sizes. Suitable for businesses, churches, childcare centers, schools, corporate and more.

Due to an increase in active shooter incidents and the swiftness with which they unfold, we must now prepare ourselves, our co-workers, families and communities. This course will focus on how to be prepared and gain the skills needed to prevent, recognize and increase your ability to survive during an active shooter incident. This course will provide details on what behaviors to look for and who to contact to prevent an active shooter incident. You will also learn how to make educated life-saving decisions regarding which actions to take during an active shooter incident.

This course will empower you with the strategies and procedures you need to proactively plan for and respond to an active shooter incident. You’ll gain a better understanding of active shooter characteristics and indicators of potentially violent behavior, work through planning strategies to better engage with your space and apply appropriate response techniques during an incident to reduce your freeze time and react faster. This includes learning proper procedures for escaping, barricading and locking down, using improvised weapons, trauma management/medical, communications and security 0and accurately reporting to responding law enforcement personnel. The knowledge gained will be the first step to helping you safeguard your life and the lives of others.

Regardless of your safety or security experience, this class will help you become more aware of risks in an Active Shooter incident and what you can do to protect yourself and your organization from them. This course will define the term Active Shooter and help define how you can predict, prevent and respond to an Active Shooter situation. In addition, help you to understand considerations in the RUN, HIDE, FIGHT methods and how/when to use them safely and securely.
