This is a 3 day event starting on a Friday morning and ending on Sunday afternoon. You will take a canoe downriver on a 50-60 mile scenic river trip with two overnight camps to remote and secluded swamp/woodlands. You will scavenge for resources to make fire, locate and treat water for consumption, build a primitive shelter, hunt small game and fish for food, locate fish bait, locate and gather wild edibles and examine their actual nutritional content,conduct modern and primitive land navigation training on unfamiliar terrain, explore and understand waterways and contributories and how to use them for navigation and also situational awareness as the course proceeds. You will also receive tips and information related to tracking on animal and human sign.

The purpose of this course is to prepare individuals to succeed and perform in unexpected situations or a new environment and to build confidence and a strategic mindset in the wilderness decision making process. This course is designed to meet the outdoors enthusiasts potential survival needs or to serve as a bug-out scenario for those who seek alternative methods of preparedness/survival. This is not a float and camp endeavor. You will receive professional instruction throughout this course and we will do so without modern camp gear.

Course is limited to 2 adults due to canoe size obviously. Class size can be expanded by 2-3 more if a potential student chooses to supply their own vessel. Cost is $295. 20% nonrefundable deposit required.

Basic items needed are a small fishing kit, backpack and assorted bushcraft gear(knife,etc),compass, small game hunting weapon/license,etc.
