This is a class for anyone who lives or works in an urban/populated area, as well as the prepper and bug-out enthusiast, who seeks first hand knowledge of what it would really take to evade trouble in unfortunate circumstances. From evading the criminal element or others with bad intentions during civil unrest, to simply navigating away from natural disasters and seeking safe refuge, this class covers it and will address your particular concerns, as well as the realities of why heading to the woods is a last option, when all else has failed, response.
You will begin on a Friday morning and spend the first full day examining realistic gear needs, potential issues in an urban setting ranging from high crime areas, personal safety, law enforcement interactions, use of maps, methods of transit and travel away from the area depending on situation and more. You will travel on foot in an urban setting and then transition to our rural classroom by vehicle and learn physical self defense methods and weapon retention tactics at various levels and basic medical/injury care concerns.

From there we will proceed 2-3 miles on foot, at night, into a large woodland area and set up a stealth camp. You will then spend the next two days and one night navigating from point to point and living from the contents of your pack or what can be legally taken from the land. All gear must be packable and portable and will be carried at all times. Lightweight packs and quality footwear is highly recommended.
You will receive instruction in elements of both of our levels 1 and 2 Wilderness Self Reliance courses, and also primitive and modern land navigation methods.

This class will be mostly all outdoors so please dress for the environmental/weather conditions. Please contact us directly to register or with questions. Class size is limited to 5. Cost is $175. 25% nonrefundable deposit required.
