This is a class for anyone who lives or works in an urban/populated or in a remote woodland area, as well as the preparedness enthusiast, who seeks first hand knowledge of medical and survival skills in multiple environments. This will be a highly active and in-depth event containing skills training with proper context.
This class contains urban and wilderness medical and survival, land navigation, understanding waterways and tributaries, wilderness skills, improvisation, and much more!!
This course will contain certifications in Tactical Emergency Casualty Care, Wilderness First Aid, Advanced Bleeding Control and CPR/AED/First Aid. If you would like to obtain Wilderness First Responder or Wilderness EMT upgrades we can also help you schedule.
You will begin on a Saturday morning and spend the first full day examining potential medical issues and response in an urban setting ranging from accidents to active shooters. That evening you will travel on foot in an urban setting and then transition to a wilderness environment by canoe/kayak away from urban areas for an overnight trip/camp, which will also contain simulated medical emergencies at night.
On day two you will engage in an additional simulated wilderness medical emergencies and improvised treatments with an extraction by river.
This class will be mostly all outdoors so please dress for the environmental/weather conditions. You will need food, water bottle and basic minimal camping /backpacking equipment. All items must be able to be carried in a pack at all times.
